When I planned my dive trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I was picturing beautiful coral reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But I saw something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **Diving a Sunken Wreck**. My heart jumped. This was more than a typical reef dive; this was an adventure into the past.
I have to admit, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Wreck diving is serious business. But the crew at **Amadive** was incredible. The Divemasters provided a very thorough safety briefing. We discussed our safety procedures, the history of the sunken ship, and what we would see. Being in such a small group immediately put me at ease safe.
Going down was unforgettable. First, it was just a shadow in the blue, and then the ship appeared. It is huge. The ship is now a bustling new home, draped in corals and swarming with marine life. I spotted giant groupers hiding from inside the cargo hold, and schools of fusiliers patrolling the superstructure. That feeling of gliding alongside this giant, silent structure is hard to describe—haunting, beautiful, and humbling at the same time. It's a time capsule under the water.
For any a certified diver visiting Con Dao and seeking something more the usual reef dive, I recommend this **Con Dao wreck dive** enough. It was the unforgettable highlight of my Vietnam trip. A massive shout-out to the **Amadive** team for check here their expertise and for making this incredible experience so safe.
